Healthcare thwarted by corruption

Healthcare thwarted by corruption

Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has recently released a research report showing the rampant corruption in our health sector which is very much shocking. If this corrupt practice goes on unabated, people won't have any trust left for the government health services and this sector will be stigmatized. Despite having some limiting factors, Bangladesh has made progress in healthcare services and all the health indicators are moving towards a positive direction. We want to keep them up. So, it would be wise of the health minister to take the recommendations made by the TIB into account and tackle the problems identified by taking pragmatic steps, rather than raising questions about TIB's research findings.
