Former Indian PM Manmohan Singh admitted to hospital
Former prime minister of India Manmohan Singh was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi yesterday night after he complained of uneasiness.
Singh, 87, is under observation at the cardio-thoracic ward of the hospital and all his parameters are fine, our Delhi correspondent reports quoting sources at the institute.
The senior Congress leader was admitted under Dr Nitish Naik, a professor of cardiology at the AIIMS around 8:45pm local time.
Singh, the prime minister of India between 2004 and 2014, represents Rajasthan state in the Rajya Sabha, the Upper House of Parliament.
