Kejriwal in self-isolation after showing symptoms of coronavirus

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has gone into self-isolation and will get himself tested for coronavirus tomorrow, officials said today.

Kejriwal (51) complained of mild fever and a sore throat since Sunday afternoon and has cancelled all his meetings.

The Aam Aadmi Party chief has isolated himself at his official residence in central Delhi.

The chief minister had addressed a brief virtual press conference at noon yesterday to announce a new policy of reserving hospital beds for residents of Delhi.

He also said Delhi would reopen its borders, which were sealed, with neighbouring states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

The number of coronavirus cases in Delhi crossed the 28,000-mark with 1,282 fresh infections while the death toll climbed to 812 on Sunday, a health bulletin issued by the Delhi government said.
