Sonargaon to celebrate Pahela Baishakh

Pan Pacific Sonargaon is set to host a scintillating three-day event consisting of delicious Bangladeshi gourmet and musical performances on the festive occasion of Bengali New Year 1423. The event will start from April 14 and run till April 16. 

The hotel will host a traditional 'mela' (fair) at its lobby area where stalls offering Bangladeshi handicrafts, clothes and souvenirs will be available. Like every year, the hotel's most popular restaurant, Café Bazar, will offer an array of traditional Baishakhi mouth-watering food in the Baishakhi Buffet Fest. There will be the all-time favourite Bengali style 'hilsha bhaja' and 'shutki bhorta' along with several assorted chutneys and side dishes. The salad bar will offer assorted Bengali cold cuts, mixed vegetable sticks, cucumber and yoghurt salad, tomato and spring onion salad, eggplant salad and mixed Bengali salads.

On the special dessert menu, there will be different types of assorted fresh fruit platters, pitha, shemai, firni, rashmalai, sweet yoghurt, gur payesh and a lot more. The guests can enjoy a live performance of traditional Baul songs as well as dance performances at the Café Bazar Restaurant. Buffet prices are fixed at Tk4000 for adults and Tk2000 for kids.
