Musa, Wasfia conquer Mount Denali
Bangladeshi mountaineers Musa Ibrahim and Wasfia Nazreen have separately conquered Mount Denali, the highest peak in North America, on June 23.
Wasfia became the first Bangladeshi to conquer the mountain, also known as Mount McKinley, when she scaled the peak at 6:20pm (North American local time).
In 2011, Wasfia Nazreen, a social worker and writer, took up a challenge to climb the highest mountain in each of the seven continents in celebration of Bangladesh's 40 years of independence and women empowerment.
Meanwhile, Musa Ibrahim, the first Bangladeshi to conquer Mount Everest, scaled Mount Denali at 8:10pm, according to his facebook post.
Denali has a summit elevation of 20,237 feet (6,168m) above sea level.
