Students of Dinajpur Polytechnic Institute yesterday went on rampage and ransacked several rooms including the principal's room as the authorities suspended activities of a student organisation allegedly without giving any prior notice. Sources said the students formed a non-political organisation about three months ago. The principal yesterday suspended its activities which aggrieved the students. The students immediately brought out a procession on the campus demanding withdrawal of the decision. Contacted, Principal Sadrul Amin said the decision was taken at the official meeting on Friday. "We shall sit today to resolve the issue peacefully," he said.
