Woman dies in wall collapse

A woman was killed and her husband received injury as their mud-house collapsed during heavy rain at Dasherkati village under Kaukhali upazila of Pirojpur early yesterday. Dalim Begum, 45, died instantly while Nurul Islam is undergoing treatment at Kaukhali Upazila Health Complex in a critical condition. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kaukhali police station Mokbul Ahmed and Taslim Uddin Channu, chairman of Kaukhali Sadar Union Parishad said due to continuous rain for last three days, the wall of Nurul's mud house collapsed on them when they were asleep at about 5:00am yesterday.
