Roadblock by bus owners

Plying of vehicles through Brahmanbaria came to a halt for three hours as the local bus owners association barricaded the key-points of all highways yesterday to protest illegal toll collection by extortionists. According to Brahmanbaria Bus Malik Samity, there are 42 buses of only Jamuna Paribahan running through different routes of the district. For long, a group of extortionists has been collecting Tk 200 as toll for each trip of each bus everyday.
