6 houses gutted in Comilla

At least six houses were gutted in a fire at Korbanpur village in Chandina upazila yesterday morning. The victims said the fire had originated from one Dud Mia's kitchen at about 5:00am and spread to the adjacent shanties. Two fire-fighting vehicles from the upazila station went to the spot and put out the fire at around 5:00am.At least 10 people, including one fire fighter, were injured. Fire officials said the damage caused by fire was estimated at Tk20 lakh. Earlier, another fire gutted four dwelling houses at Kandal village in Nagolkot upazila on Saturday night.
