Memo to Khulna DC

Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque and other leaders of Khulna Awami League and all ward councillors yesterday submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner (DC) demanding immediate arrest of killers of central Jubo League leader Shahid Iqbal Bithar. Mayor went to the office of the DC on foot and without any police protection. When asked, Khaleque said he went there as president of Khulna City Awami League, not as mayor. Bithar, also a ward councillor, was shot dead by extremists on July 11 in front of his residence at Musalmanpara.
