15 hurt as pirates clash

At least 15 people were injured as pirate groups locked in a clash in Abdullar Char area in Sonagazi Friday evening. Locals said pirates of Afsar-led group clashed with groups led by Tipu and Bashar Majhi till 12 midnight. Local said, the pirates on several occasions in the past looted fish and net from the fishermen in the estuary of the Bay. Friday's clash took place for control of the area, they said.
