Tree trunks recovered

Police on Saturday seized a large number of Sundari tree trunks from the Madhumati River. River police said, they recovered 109 tree trunks from a trawler near Bailtoli outpost under Sadar upazila. They arrested three people in connection with the crime. The arrestees are Al Amin, 28, Jabbar Mollah, 45, and Jahangir Hawlader, 50. Gopalganj police said the trees were felled in the Sundarbans and taken to Tekerhat through the river route.
