House attacked in Manikganj

A house came under attack at Machain village under Harirampur upazila in Manikganj on Monday as a sequel to a long-standing dispute over a land. Locals said a group of people, led by Chhatra League (BCL) Government Devendra College unit President Shafiqul Islam Rana, attacked the house of Lebu Mia at around 11:00pm and injured Labu, 50, his wife and son. They were admitted to Manikganj Sadar Hospital. When contacted, Police Superintendent Sheikh Muhammad Maruf Hasan said the incident was a sequel to a land dispute between Labu and BCL leader Rana.
