2 outlaws flee from custody

Two outlaws fled away breaking the window of Damurhuda Police Station only eight hours after their arrest in Chuadanga on Sunday. Damurhuda police arrested Apon, 32, and Sohel, 30, of Darshana in Damurhuda upazila under Chuadanga district from Darshana at about 7:30pm on Sunday. But the two outlaws broke a window of the police station and came out between 3:00 to 3:30am the same night, police said. Both were cadres of an outlawed party and there were warrants of arrest against them in a murder case, police said.Only one constable was guarding the police station during the incident. The constable was suspended and a one-member probe body headed by Assistant Superintendent of Police Nasir Uddin has been formed to investigate the incident.
