Woman murdered

Unidentified criminals killed a woman by slitting her throat while she was asleep at her house at village Gadaipur under Assassuni upazila on Tuesday night. The victim, Monowara Khatun, 30, was the first wife of Anwarul Islam, police said. On information, the law enforcers rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Satkhira Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police arrested victim's husband Anwar for his alleged involvement in the killing said.
