Rapist's men threaten victim's family

A teenage tailor worker was raped allegedly by a local youth at Bhuli village in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila on Monday last. The rapist and his accomplices also threatened her family members not to file any case or tell the matter to anyone, said the victim who filed a case accusing Zakir Hossain, 24, of Kesharbari village in Sadar upazila on Saturday evening. The victim, worker of a tailoring shop at Bhuli bazar, was returning to her Kachubari village house under Sadar upazila on Monday evening. When she reached near Bhuli Chashi Club, Zakir forced her to go beside a crop field at knifepoint and raped her, leaving her injured. Hearing her scream, one Abdul Latif helped her to go home. Thakurgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sohrab Hossain said they sent the victim to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital for medical test yesterday.
