Charge framing date

Sylhet Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal Judge Md Mahbub-ul Islam on Wednesday set October 18 for charge framing in the case filed for bomb attack on veteran AL leader Suranjit Sengupta's public meeting. All the accused were produced before the tribunal. AL activist Abdul Wahid, 45, was killed and about 30 others sustained injuries when the bombs were hurled on dais just before the end of the meeting in Derai upazila headquarters in Sunamganj on June 21, 2004. Suranjit escaped unhurt as he along with other leaders got down from the dais moments before the attack. The CID on December 14, 2008 filed charge sheet against Mufti Abdul Hannan and 6 others of Huji for the attack. Later, the sensational case was transferred to the Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal.
