DC office staff found dead

Police yesterday recovered the body of a missing fourth class employee of Jhalakati deputy commissioner (DC) office. Locals alleged that Liakot Hossain Khan, 43, who went missing on Tuesday afternoon, from village Ramchandropur of Guvaram Chandropur union under Jhalakati Sadar upazila, was tortured to death. Police and family members said, Liakot went out of his house to catch fish in his own pond on Tuesday afternoon. Later locals found his body at night at a mango orchard belonging to one Abdus Salam.
