7 hurt as BCL rivals clash at Khulna Polytec

At least seven people were injured in a clash between two groups of Chhatra League activists at Khulna Polytechnic Institute in the city on Wednesday. Police said, the clash began at about 12:30pm as two groups of BCL men locked in an altercation on the institute premises over a trivial matter. At one stage, they attacked each other with iron-rods and sticks, leaving seven people injured. On information, police rushed to the spot and arrested Sumon, a student of the institute.
