Hara-kiri by AL?

A solitary citizen, Dhaka
A realistic and detailed staff correspondent's front-page banner headlined report was published on 18 October in a local English daily. It reported on AL's grabbing of things indiscriminately, left and right, based on the belief that "might is right". This will be the sure cause of doom for the AL, whether they like it or not! These unscrupulous party men are really succeeding in tarnishing the name and image of the party in power, while the party's government is helplessly standing and watching this growing lawlessness! The party is rapidly gaining reputation for various misdeeds. It seems that even the Hon. PM is failing to contain the party workers! In this matter at least, it seems that AL is faithfully following the footsteps of the BNP in its heydays! I am sure that AL realises that the first priority is to set its own house in order. They must rein in their party-men both in and outside of the assembly to be reasonable and do only what is right, and not take the law in their hands. The report had even named one of the lawmaker and his close relative, who have gone on a land-grabbing spree! These matters need stern disciplinary action by the party central management, failing which, it will herald the "beginning of the end", as sure as night follows day. It is like committing Harakiri, with eyes open, embracing self-inflicted political death! If things continue in this fashion, as reported, then "All the king's horses and all the king's men cannot put Humpty Dumpty together again"! This the bitter reality of the fable, which is all true! Watch out AL management, time and tide waits for none. That is the bitter truth, like it or not.
