Road to flattery!
Mr. Badrul Ahsan's article clearly brings out the moral bankruptcy of our politicians. Even thoughts of these hypocrites make us wonder about our value as human being who year after year is subjected to such insult on intelligence. I sometimes try to find solace in a different type of explanation which is:
Politicians are a rare sensitive breed whose heart cries out for everybody else except for his or her own sorrows. That is why the dreamer politician was so scared about her leader's safety. I am sure he / she would have felt the same thing for other common people too. That the leader was in the dream is a mere technicality. Shall we ever forget the soft hearted Kazi Zafar being consoled by HM Ershad when Zafar was overtaken by grief at Mr. Ershad's mother's death? There is no other country on the face of the earth that has been blessed with such soft hearted politicians!
