Vehicle requisition
It seems that people owning motor vehicles have to give some cash in the form of bribe just to avoid the stress and hassle of handing over their vehicles to law enforcement personnel.
The Daily Star should do an investigative report about the law and practice relating to vehicle requisitions. It would be helpful if you could inform the motor vehicle owning public about the relevant statute or ordinance empowering law enforcement personnel to requisition any vehicle, the frequency and duration of each seizure and whether the law mandates any compensation. Also if any individual is able to claim any kind of exemption, waiver or exception against such an action.
