Human chain in Kishoreganj

Guardians and students in Kishoreganj formed a human chain on Saturday demanding double shift in two government schools. Sushil Chhatra Samaj observed the programme at Station Road of the town from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. Md Zobayer, convenor of the organisation and member secretary Majharul Islam said, the guardians want to get their children admitted in Kishoreganj Government Boys' High School and SV Government Girls' High School. But due to limited seats hundred of applications were turned down as the two schools can admit only 120 students. The government took the decision to introduce double shift in 80 schools in the country. But being the second largest district of the country, Kishoreganj district did not get this opportunity, the participants alleged.
