Golden jubilee of Mymensingh Press Club

A three-day programme marking the golden jubilee of Mymensingh Press Club will begin today. The programmes include a colourful procession, seminar, discussions and cultural events. Md. Momtaz Uddin, a founder member of the club, will open the programme on the club premises. Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs Abul Kalam Azad, MP, will address the opening function as chief guest with deputy commissioner of Mymensingh AN Shamsuddin Azad Chowdhury in the chair. Principal Motiur Rahman, MP, veteran journalist and founder joint-secretary of the club ASM Habibullah will be the special guests. Md. Habibur Rahman Sheikh, editor of the Dainik Jahan and convener of the celebration committee will deliver the welcome speech.
