Charge framed against ex-RCCI president

Third Additional District and Sessions Judge's Court in Rajshahi yesterday framed charges against former president of Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industries (RCCI) Lutfar Rahman in the Tk 29.5 lakh extortion case. Judge Rasheda Sultana scheduled November 29 for beginning trial of the case. Lutfar, who is also Rajshahi city BNP vice president and business partner of Rajshahi Mayor Mizanur Rahman Minu, was produced before the court and sent back to Rajshahi Central Jail after court proceedings. Nurunnabi of Shalgharia in Durgapur upazila, a former business partner of Lutfar, lodged the case with Boalia Police Station.
