Sahara assures punishment to killers

Home Minister Sahara Khatun yesterday assured the family members of the slain couple in the city of giving exemplary punishment to the killers. She gave the assurance while visiting the family members of the victims Sadequr Rahman, 55, and his wife Romana Nargis, 45, at Kalachandpur in the afternoon. Sadequr and his wife were shot dead allegedly by one Rubel in the victims' apartment on March 24 as they refused a proposal of the killer to marry their daughter Eti. Sahara gave consolation to the bereaved members of the family and assured them that the government would do everything to try the killers. DB police have already arrested suspected killer Rubel and two others in connection with the double murder.
