Out of the 13 largest hurricanes in world history, nine happened in Bengal and most of the devastated areas are in Bakerganj (Barisal) according to recorded history. Many people died due to no access to information. But that should not happen in modern times when it is not at all difficult to predict such disasters and alert people. But our governments and politicians never showed due sensitivity to the issue.
