2 BNP leaders sent to jail in B'baria
Two BNP leaders were sent to jail by a court here yesterday, court sources said.
BNP district unit organising secretary Md Sirajul Islam Siraj and district Jubo Dal general secretary Md Asaduzzaman Shaheen were produced before court by Sadar police under Speedy Tribunal Act.
Joint forces arrested them on charge of criminal activities from the Power House road area here on Tuesday, police said. Later, joint forces handed them over to police.
Police said there are charges of involvement in criminal activities against the two front ranking BNP leaders in the district.
