BSF kills one in Satkhira
Indian Border Security Force (BSF) gunned down a Bangladeshi cattle trader on Kushkhali border in Sadar upazila early morning yesterday.
Liton, 30, son of Arizul Islam of Kushkhali village, died on the spot about 150 yards inside Indian territory from the 'zero line' when BSF opened fire. Liton along with some others was returning home with cattle.
BSF men took away Liton's body, BDR sources said.
BDR sent a protest letter to BSF and demanded return of the body.
BDR and BSF traded shops on the same border at about 5-30 am yesterday as the Indian border guards at Khalisha camp fired two shots at Kushkhali BDR camp without any provocation, said Maj Kamrul Hasan, Operations Officer 41 Rifles Battalion.
