Ishwardi education officer held for 'bribery'

The joint force on Tuesday arrested Ishwardi upazila education officer for alleged corruption and bribery. After arrest from his Babupara village house in Ishwardi upazila in the district at about 8:00pm on Tuesday, the officer, Md Ferdaus was handed over to Ishwardi Police Station. Earlier the headmaster of Shahapur Primary School in Ishwardi filed a case with Ishwardi Police Station accusing Ferdaus of taking Tk 5,700 as bribe. There are also various other complains against him, sources said.
