Invaluable photos
I am a professor of Bangladesh Open University; my elder brother who retired from Bangladesh Shipping Corporation 10 years back has a very special treasure in his collection: the complete set of pictures of the 1969 Ekushey February art exhibition drawn by Arts College students of East Pakistan Students' Union.
The pictures were taken by my brother.
As the drawings have tremendous historic value we are interested to show them to the young generation through an exhibition.
We need a sponsor : sort of donation from banks so that we can print the pictures( already digitalised), frame them and hold the exhibition in a gallery.
Through your daily we would request the prospective sponsors to give my brother Mr. Sakhawat Hossain (residing at Mirpur, Dhaka, tel : 8032215) financial help to hold this exhibition during the 21st February 2008.
We sincerely hope to get some donations which will cover the expenses.
