4 cops among 25 hurt by criminals in Netrakona
At least 25 people including four policemen were injured when criminals attacked them for occupying a water body in Kalmakanda upazila in Netrakona district yesterday afternoon.
A group of criminals who had been trying to occupy Sunadubi water body for long, attacked the members of Kalmakanda Fishermen's Association with sharp weapons, police said. As policemen present there tried to save the fishermen, the criminals also attacked them and 25 people including four policemen were injured.
Seriously injured police constable Liakot Hosen, Polash Das and Toruni Das were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. The other injured were admitted into Kalmakanda Upazila Health Complex.
