Joypurhat SP forced into retirement

Superintendent of Police of Joypurhat AKM Masudul Alam has been forced into retirement on charges of corruption and irregularities in recruitment of police personnel. The SP was sent into retirement four or five days ago, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nur Mohammad told The Daily Star last night. Sources said the decision of forced retirement came from the home ministry on June 5. Two days before his retirement, the SP was closed to the police headquarters.
