One killed, 15 injured in Tangail road crash
One person was killed and 15 others were injured in a road accident on Tangail-Jamalpur road at Dhanbari upazila yesterday.
The accident occurred when a Jamalpur-bound passenger bus from Tangail collided with a roadside tree while overtaking another bus in Rupshani area, leaving one passenger of the bus dead on the spot and injured 15 others, police and witnesses said.
The victim was identified as helper of the bus Firoz Miah, 25, of Kumarpara village under Jamalpur Sadar upazila.
The injured bus passengers were admitted to the Madhupur Upazila Health Complex.
