Govt to ensure congenial atmosphere for journos
Says information minister
Information Minister Abul Kalam Azad said here yesterday that the government is
trying to ensure a congenial atmosphere for journalists so that they can perform their responsibility without hesitation.
"We are looking into the logical demands of the journalists community," he told a function here.
Azad was addressing as the chief guest a reception accorded to the students who got GPA-5 in the SSC and Dakhil examinations in 2010.
The function was organised by Khulna City Corporation (KCC) with Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque in the chair.
Azad mentioned that the implementation of `Right to Information Act' would ensure free flow of information.
He said necessary fund would be allocated in the next financial year for constructing a modern Shilpakala Academy in Khulna.
Khalaque urges the government to establish a full-fledged TV station in Khulna.
