Steps taken to develop health system
Health minister says in parliament
Health Minister Dr AFM Ruhal Haque yesterday said the government has undertaken various steps for the development of health system to ensure good health for all.
Responding to a question raised by BNP lawmaker Nazim Uddin Ahmed, he said the measures include reopening of community clinics set up during the past Awami League government, updating National Health Policy, reduction of child and mother mortality
rate, recruiting necessary doctors and nurses, increasing number of beds at upazila hospitals and allocation of medicines at public hospitals, allotment of ambulances for different hospitals and introduction of digital health system.
