JS body report on Law, Order Disruption Crimes bill placed

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Home Ministry placed its report on the Law and Order Disruption Crimes (speedy trial) (amendment) Bill, 2010 in the Jatiya Sangsad yesterday. Committee Chairman Maj Gen (Retd) Abdus Salam placed the report with a recommendation for passage of the bill. Earlier on June 17, Home Minister Advocate Sahara Khatun piloted the bill with a proposal to extend the effectiveness of the act by another two years up to 2012.
