Shops, garages gutted in Ctg fire

Five shops, two CNG-run auto-rickshaws and 45 rickshaws worth around Tk 14 lakh were gutted in a fire at Kamal Bazar in the port city early hours of yesterday. Sources said the fire broke out at a shop of dry fish at the Kamal Bazar under Chandgaon Police Station at around 4.30am and spread fast engulfing four more tin-shed shops of dry fish, a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and a rickshaw garage. The fire originated from mosquito coil, said Station Officer Abul Kalam of Kalurghat Fire Station.
