Production in Bangura gas field resumes
Production in the Bangura gas field resumed yesterday after remaining shut down for 16 days.
After examining the gas field, its operators resumed the production. It produced 90 million cubic feet of gas as of last night, Petrobangla sources said.
Bangura field was shut down on June 7 by its operators following a problem in the gas processing plant.
During an initial inspection, technicians noticed that an underground pipeline with 10-inch diameter that transmits gas from the field to the national grid had shifted from its original position by four inches.
This fault prompted the gas field operator to shut down the field to prevent any major accident.
