Driver burnt to death
A truck driver was burnt alive when his vehicle caught fire on Mymensingh highway at Rajendrapur in Gazipur early morning yesterday.
Truck driver Saidul, 25, was trapped inside the truck after the vehicle hit a roadside tree as the driver lost his control over the steering.
Saidul is a son of Md Abu Taleb of Torabganj area in Tangail Sadar.
On information Saidul's relatives took the body to Gazipur Sadar Hospital morgue from where they took away the body without autopsy.
Police said the accident occurred near the gate number four of Bhawal National Garden at around 4:00am when the stone-laden truck was going to Mymensingh from Narayanganj.
