Motijheel Ideal School grabs title

Motijheel Ideal School and College of Dhaka has become the champion in the '4th EBL Saint Gregory National School Debate Competition-2010', said a press release. The runner up is Saint Francis Xavier's Girls High School. The three-day debate competition from July 2 was organised by the Gregorian Debating Club at St Gregory's High School. The participants debated over topics that included World Cup football, National Budget 2010-2011, cyber crime, peace and conflict, climate change and religion based politics during the festival. Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique, Awami League lawmaker Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin and president of Bangladesh Debate Federation Dr Abdun Nur Tushar were the special guests with the headmaster of St. Gregory's High School Brother Robi Purification in the chair at the concluding session.
