Three Bangladeshis die in Canada road accident

Bodies of three Bangladeshis, killed in a road accident in Canada on July 3, is scheduled to arrive here at 3:00am today, said family sources yesterday. The dead are Iftekhar Anwar, 31, his wife Nabila Shabnam Anwar, 25, and his mother Dil Nahar, 60 of Banani in the city. They will be buried at Banani graveyard after a namaz-e-janaza at Banani Jame Mosque after Asr prayers today. The accident occurred around 7:30pm on the day when Iftekhar lost his control over the steering of the car on a gravel road at Saskatoon city. The family went outside the city for the weekend and it happened on their way home. The three died on the spot. Iftekhar's father Abu Jafar who was seriously injured in the accident is still at the ICU of a hospital. Iftekhar who went to Canada in 2002 was a mechanical engineer of Canadian company Wardrop Engineering Inc. His wife Nabilah was a feature writer of New Age for a couple of years and Dil Nahar was a teacher of Banani Bidya Niketan. Parents of Iftekher went to visit their newly born granddaughter Norah who escaped unhurt in the accident.
