Dr Shahidullah's contribution recalled

Education Minister Nurul Islam Naheed yesterday said the outstanding contribution of noted educationist Dr Muhammad Shahidullah must be projected more widely before the younger generations to familiarise them with the literary works of a highly dignified litterateur of the yesterdecades. Dr Muhammad Shahidullah not only helped enrich the Bangla language through his creative works but also raised the image of Bangalee at home and abroad, he said while inaugurating a 10-day display of his rare manuscripts and commemoratives. Bangalee Shamagra Jadughar organised the display on the occasion of Dr Muhammad Shahidulla's 125th birth anniversary. National Professor Kabir Chowdhury chaired the function while National Professor Dr MR Khan, language hero Prof Ahmad Rafique and executive director of Bangalee Shamagra Jadughar Tarique Rahman also spoke.
