'Plant trees to protect ecology'
Tree plantation starts at Dhaka College
Speakers at an inaugural ceremony of a tree plantation programme yesterday called upon people to plant trees to help maintain ecological balance and avoid environmental disasters.
Dhaka Education Board Chairman Prof Fahima Khatun formally inaugurated the tree plantation programme on the Dhaka College premises in the city, says a press release.
They also urged the people to be prepared to resist environmental disasters.
Dhaka College Principal Siraj Uddin Ahmed presided over the session while Vice Principal of the college Prof Md Asraf Ali Khan was present as special guest.
