Missing farmer strangled

Police yesterday recovered the body of a missing farmer at Chilabhalki in Chuadanga. The deceased were identified as Beltu Mia, 30, son of Belayet Ali of Chilabhalki in Alamdanga upazila in Chuadanga. He was missing since Thursday morning. Motiar Rahman, officer-in-charge of Alamdanga police station, said Beltu went out of his home Thursday morning to go a local market and since then he was missing. Farmers found Beltu's body at a jute field of Chilabhalki at about 2:30pm. Police recovered a Gamcha from the spot that reportedly was used to strangle him. A case was filed with Alamdanga Police Station in this connection.
