Kamaruzzaman, Quader Molla shown arrested in 2 more cases
Two Assistant Secretaries General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Md Kamaruzzaman and Abdul Quader Molla were shown arrested yesterday in two more cases filed for preventing police from discharging their duties during hartal on June 27.
Metropolitan Magistrate Abdul Majid passed the order following applications by two sub-inspectors (SIs) of Paltan Police Station where the cases were filed.
The SIs Mozaffar and Reza Manik, also the investigation officers of the cases, also prayed for taking them on 10 days' remand each.
The hearing on the remand prayers will be held when the Jamaat men are produced before the court on completion of their three-day remand in another case filed with the same police station.
Later, they were shown arrested in the case filed with Pallabi Police Station on January 25 of 2008 for killing 345 people during the country's Liberation War in 1971.
