Cigarette Packets
'Include pictures in warning messages'
Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) yesterday demanded inclusion of pictures in warning messages in the packets of cigarettes to discourage its consumption, said a press release.
They also urged the education ministry to include a seal titled 'smoking is bad for health' in the textbooks.
The demands came from a view exchange meeting of the CAB leaders with journalists at a city hotel.
Speakers at the meeting said most of the consumers of tobacco in the country are illiterate so warning messages with pictures should be included in the packets.
CAB President Quazi Faruque presided over the meeting.
