3,031 bottles of Phensidyl recovered
BDR recovered 3,031 bottles of Phensidyl and goods worth Tk 93.55lakh smuggled from India during different raids at Birampur upazila in Dinajpur.
Acting on a tip-off Phulbari 40 battalion led by Subedar Shafiuddin Howladar raided a Dhaka bound-truck on Hakimpur-Ghoraghat highway yesterday, said BDR. The driver of the truck managed to flee. The truck loaded with potatoes was carrying the Penshidyl.
In another raid, the same team recovered Indian contraband worth Tk 13.55lakh from different border areas at the Birampur upazila the same day.
Meanwhile, BDR recovered Indian sarees, three pieces, cosmetics and spare parts of bicycle worth Tk 80lakh on Wednesday.
BDR said acting on a tip-off a BDR team raided at different villages of the district including Mohanpur, Dugdugi and recovered the Indian contraband.
