Bicyclist dies in road crash

A man was killed in a road accident on the Chapainawabganj-Sonmasjid land port highway in the district town Thursday night. The deceased, Lalchand Mia, 55, was a resident of Arambagh in Chapai-nawabganj municipal area. Witnesses said a microbus hit and critically injured Lalchand Mia at around 8:45pm while he was crossing the road at Arambagh area riding a bicycle. He was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) where doctors declared him dead. Police sent the body to RMCH morgue for autopsy.
