Novera Deepita's anniversary of death today
Today is the fourth death anniversary of Novera Deepita, says a press release. On the occasion, Novera Deepita Memorial Trust has taken elaborate programmes. The programmes include prayers at Novera's grave, milad mahfil at orphanage, donation to the poor and distribution of "Novera Deepita Memorial Scholarship". The student who secured the highest marks in the BA (Hons) from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Dhaka University (DU) will receive this scholarship of Tk 25,000 and a certificate. Novera Deepita, a journalist of The Daily Star and a gold medal winning student of the University of Dhaka, passed away on July 27 in 2006.
